One of the most emblematic and recognizable places of the Villa de Tarifa (Cádiz), is the "Puerta de Jerez". When the Christian reconquest ended, its walls were enlarged and the current door was opened, becoming the then main entrance to the city of intramuros. On the central arch there is a plaque that recalls the taking of Tarifa in 1292.

Es uno de los monumentos más emblemáticos e importantes de la ciudad de Tarifa. Está en el acceso principal de las Murallas medievales. La puerta originaria es la más interior, formada por un arco de herradura, con la utilización del ladrillo. En su interesante bóveda de espejo se puede ver unas llamativas pinturas.
