At night, walk down 8th street toward MU as it becomes a part of the University Campus and you will be treated to a view of Jesse Hall behind the historic Columns, which are all that remain of the old Academic Hall destroyed by fire in 1892.

The Columns and Jesse Hall are kind of a given in Columbia. They are the hallmark of the University of Missouri and they're beautiful. There's a great lawn to relax on and maybe have a picnic.

Jesse Hall and the columns are the most iconic site to see on the University of Mo campus. Right next to downtown.
