A Durham mainstay. Local stores carry their bread, but you can also stop in for a delicious and affordable lunch or snack. Right across the street from the loft!

Great people and bread (along with lots of coffee, sweet treats, soups, and salads). They have honest-to-goodness whole wheat sandwich bread and wonderful sourdough. They have a nice outdoor seating area.

Not on 9th street! It's in downtown Durham. Great lunch in the actual bakery- you can smell the new bread baking!
