A cute museum in the heart of Middleton. Converted from the old high school it has two floors of exhibits to explore. To visit it's free with a donation.

The museum is located in the former Macdonald Consolidated School building, which was the first consolidated school building in Canada, founded by Sir William C. Macdonald, educational philanthropist. The school operated from 1903 to 1979 and now houses collections include historical artifacts of the area; a recreated period classroom and general store; and a small natural history exhibit, including species at risk. The museum also houses a research Library for genealogical research.
