Kalami beach, in the northern part of Corfu, is a well-known, popular beach, both with tourists as with the locals. It is literally a scenery made for film-making. It was featured in “Tycoon”, starring Anthony Quinn and Jaqueline Bisset in 1978, as well as in the James Bond movie “For Your Eyes Only”, starring Roger Moore in 1981, not to mention countless documentaries and the latest ITV production of the series “The Durrells”, which featured the life of the Durrell family on Corfu island.

If you want to find some private, exclusive beach front head 20 mins up the road to Ksamil. You'll be paying a few Euros for a bed and umbrella, but depending on the place (Restaurant) you choose you can get a lovely quiet sandy beach front, great hospitality and very friendly reception. We'd probably recommend the Oasis Club which is on the right at the top of the hill as you enter Ksamil. They are very friendly and we have known the owners for years.
