A nice traditional tavern in the wonderful abandoned village of Old Perithia, with spectacular derelict stone houses. There are two other places as well worth trying.

In the village square of old Perithia, less than a minute's walk from The Merchant's House, run by a brother and sister, Alkinoos & Alexia, mother too Diamantina & Alexia's daughter Elina is often around too. Best in the evenings, but lunchtime good too, just ensure there isn't a group booking so you get to enjoy your time there and a little more attention. Mention you're staying at The Merchant's House. They do a great homemade ginger beer, often their own red wine, there's a garden at the back and ask whats been cooked fresh on the day. They have wifi too if ours is being a little hit or miss.
