Explore this impressive work of engineering! Can cycle from Glasgow along the canal, or take the train. If you go to the visitor centre you can get in a boat and go on the Falkirk Wheel, great views

The Falkirk Wheel is a rotating boat lift , connecting the Forth and Clyde Canal with the Union Canal. The lift is named after Falkirk, the town in which it is located. It reconnects the two canals for the first time since the 1930s.
