Until the end of the XIV. Century was a meeting place, and now there are exhibited here several statues. The best known are: the theft of the Sabines, Hercules and Nessus (Giambologna), and Perseus.
The loggia, located on a corner of the Piazza della Signoria, is a unique example of an open-air sculpture gallery containing antique and Renaissance art.
One of my favourite places to go relax at night time: there is always a street artis playing live music, great view of the Piazza della Signoria, and my favourite statue - Perseo del Cellini.

“A free entry church everyone should visit, especially for the breathtaking Cappella Sassetti painted by Domenico Ghirlandaio between 1482 and 1485. Scenes of San Francesco's life and the Medici family are represented in this masterpiece of the renaissance.”

“In the heart of Florence, near the Ponte Vecchio, stands the church of Santo Stefano al Ponte, one of the oldest churches of Florence. Used as well as a fabulous event venue, you can partake in wonderful concerts. The lower part of the facade dates back to 1233 and retains Romanesque elements, while the upper part was rebuilt during the Gothic renewal. The interior was renovated during the Baroque period. It is full of stunning works of art and decoration, including the beautiful staircase by Buontalenti, with a marble balustrade, built in 1574. Numerous paintings also remain from the Renaissance period.”
