Newmarket Riverwalk Commons features an outdoor stage and is host to various Newmarket events all year long. Some notable events include Music in the Park, Moonlight Movies, Kanata Summer Festival, Garlic is Great Festival, Winter Wonderland, the Newmarket Ice Lounge and more. Tim Hortons Skating and Water Feature: The Newmarket Riverwalk Commons also features the Tim Hortons Skating at the Water Feature. The water feature acts as a public water feature during the summer months and a skating rink during the winter months.

Experience festivities at the Newmarket Riverwalk Commons. This new urban park is a community landmark that links Newmarket’s trail system to the downtown core and features a water pool (great for child play!) that is transformed into a skating rink during the winter months. Experience the Farmer’s Market, concerts and events. Inspired by water, the park’s components represent movement and flow and feature steps that cascade down to the Holland River’s edge. A large canopy anchors the site, providing shade and shelter, and a large stage for outdoor performances.

New community center with restroom facilities to compliment the splash pad, large stage area with frequent live performances, a farmer's market on Saturday mornings, and it's close to Main St. (So there are lots of restaurants and small shops nearby)
