The Herod Atticus Mansion is an ancient Roman villa located on the edge of the Kato Doliana village, a few kilometers outside Astros, Arcadia. Next to the Loukou Monastery. The Herod Atticus Mansion was built in the 2nd century AD by the famous politician and sophist Herod the Attic, in the area of the ancient city Eva. The villa was discovered in 1809 by the British traveler William Martin Leake, while he was identified with the mansion in the early 20th century by the archaeologist and professor Konstantinos Romeos
