This place is pretty special - it is an outdoor museum which tells the story of the first missionaries who landed in 1810 and how they integrated with the local maori. It involves a short 25- 30 min walk downhill to a beautiful bay. Take a picnic, and a fishing rod and chill for the afternoon.

NZ's first Christmas service was held here in the 1800's between Marsden & the Maori people.

This is a historical walk easy to do with children and a beach at the end of it. Take a picnic, sunblock, towels and swimwear. scan your smart phone at the entrance and listen to the audio as you walk along the pathway. Enjoy the stunning views of the Bay of Islands. Take your camera!!
