Superb family run European style bistro. Restricted number of covers and attractive pricing means that it is impossible to get in without a prior booking. Bring Your Own Booze and pay only £1 a head corkage.

This is about a minute walk from Shepherds Villa. This is a nice little bistro which has the set price menus with 2 (£24.95) or 3 (£29.95) courses. They say they use local produce such as meat, egg and dairy product, and they also grow fruit & vegetables in Coniston. To be honest, I haven't been here yet but I will soon visit&report on here!!! They open in the evening, 6pm to 11pm from Wednesday to Sunday. You can bring your own bottle, and the corkage fee is £2.50pp.

Lovely food, very good value , not licensed, but you can take your own drink . Essential to book in advance. Closed Mon / Tues.
