An engineering marvel and "must see" if you didn't stop on the way North. There is an informative and convenient viewing park and exhibit on the St Ignace side.

You have to cross it! The views are incomparable! Connects the upper and lower peninsulas of Michigan. St. Ignace is on the other side of the bridge. Lots of shopping and sightseeing there as well.

Opened in 1957 this was the longest bridge in the world for a number of years. It still ranks in the top 10 world wide longest suspension bridges. The bridge is approximately a 1 hour drive from the cottage and crossing it takes you to the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
