Founded perhaps in the mid-tenth century Subsequent renovations to this date (it was restored in the ninth century and completely rebuilt in the twelfth century) have produced the precious mosaic floor , dating back to around 1140, which greatly influenced the artistic production of the period. These mosaics are composed of marble and polychrome glass paste. The church also contains one of the most ancient venetian painted panels .
