Beautiful trail with waterfalls and huge granite rock. Fun place to explore protected forests of the Haliburton Highlands Land Trust.

5 minutes outside of the town of Haliburton is a 500 acre property with three trails. The Heritage Trail 5 kms easy to moderate, the Waterfall trail 3/4 of a km easy to moderate and the Ridge Trail 1 km challenging.

Only 15 minutes away you can do a 6km loop hike on a beautiful and unique property. Afterwards, follow-up by visiting Ritchie Falls. Address: 1118 Gould Crossing Rd, Haliburton (This is off of Gelert Rd. Go past the Hospital and travel approx. 3-4 minutes and Gould Crossing Road is on your left (just opposite the driving range).

Try this 5.8-km loop trail near Dysart et al, Ontario. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 45 min to complete. This trail is great for hiking, mountain biking, and snowshoeing, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
