Such a fun lava tube cave. Open spring-early fall. Dress warm (it's cool inside) and have fun seeing how far you can go. This is a place I remember fondly visiting as a child... and a place that my own kids have enjoyed. Just across the highway from Sunriver.

Family friendly, and quite a unique experience. Wander through the surreal lava fields. It is other worldly.

Located 5 mins north of Sunriver. Lava Lands offers nature walks, interpretive programs, displays on the geology, volcanology and cultural history of Central Oregon.

Make sure to bring some layers when going into the lava caves. It took us over an hour to get in and out with 2 toddlers. It is pretty dark inside so bring your own head lamp or you can rent a lantern at the entrance.
