Chandubi is situated in the far west of the Guwahati city.Its around 65 km from the heart of the city and 37km from guwahati airport.It is located in Palashbari range or we can say near Raani/ Mirza. This place is filled with a Magnificent lake which we call the "Chandubi Lake".This place was a result of an earthquake happened back in 1897.

Chandubi Lake wasformed in 1897 during the devastating earthquake in Assam. According to the locals,Chandubi was a hilly area with five mountains before 1897. The five mountains had sunken into the ground during the earthquake and form thelake.
