Fantastic breakfast & Brunch. Insider brunch tip: swing by Le Bon Temps bar next door on your way for brunch and pick up a mimosa or Bloody Mary to carry with you over to Surrey. Surrey doesn't serve alcohol, but they will allow you to bring beverages from Le Bon Temps. Also, to avoid a wait, go early.

The owners are fantastic and big community supporters throughout the city. Also, if you want to appreciate how high the water was in Mid-City during Katrina, check out the plaque next to the front door marking the water level.

Unknown to most, this spot just around the corner from us houses the Mardi Gras floats from the oldest Krewes and amazing artists responsible for Mardi Gras magic. On a nice day you can find their warehouse doors open and see them working on the floats for the upcoming Mardi Gras. This is a great place to stop after grabbing a snoball from Hansen's.
