Holyrood Park is a very touristic place, really nice for hiking, cycling and taking photos. You can also climb to the top of Arthur's seat and see the whole city from above.

Calton Hill has probably the most popular views of Edinburgh. You can also see the other side of the sea up north to Fife. I'd say it's a must-see if you are a tourist.
