It is historically known as the burial site of the body of Native American sports legend Jim Thorpe. It is said to be haunted and home of the Disney movie "the Haunted Mansion."

Saved from the brink of demolition, the Tamaqua Railroad Station now serves as a heritage center, as well as a cultural and economic hub in Historic Tamaqua. Be sure to make a stop at the Tamaqua Railroad Station on your next visit!
There is plenty of parking in the lot on Route 309 South. After parking, cross the tracks safely at the pedestrian crosswalk. A handicap accessible entrance is located at the rear of the Station.
