Portlands east end has a beach, boat ramp, views of the Casco Bay, and big old Victorian mansions. There are many cool places to stop and get a bite on the Eastern Prom. People fly kites and watch the 4th of July fireworks.

I always let guest know the weather in Maine changes frequently. Layering example is a tank top, tee shirt, fleece, jacket to rain gear. You may find this helpful especially if taking a ferry trip to one of the Casco Bay Islands
