Portland Breakwater Light (also known as Bug Light) marks the eastern terminus of the Greenbelt Walkway and is a great destination for a waterside walk, picinicing and kite-flying. Bug light park is also a busy boat launching area, where you can sit and watch the ships, lobster boats, and sailboats go by all day long.

Go fly a kite!! Nearly 9 acres of green space with harbor & skyline views, plus a tiny lighthouse built in 1875.

There are typically lots of kites flying. Beautiful views of the harbor and Portland.

In a few minutes you can walk or bike to Bug Light. From this perspective, you can look out into Casco Bay and see where you are – facing Portland to the left, and the islands to the right.
