The park itself isn't anything that special, but the walk along the canal can be lovely on a nice day. Just watch out for all the cyclists...

This park is pretty vital to we Edinburgh residents - good for cycling, running, dog walking, picnics, a beer in the park etc.

My place of work! There are often paying exhibitions, but you can also just wander around the permanent displays, and the grounds which have a number of outdoor sculptures. The café is good, but pricey.

This shop is ten seconds from my house, and has a really good range of groceries. It is a little more pricey than some supermarkets though.

If you're staying for a while, Lidl is about a ten minute walk and is much cheaper than some of the other nearby supermarkets.

Getting Around
There is a bus stop right around the corner from the flat (next to the Margiotta shop). A number 27 or 10 bus will get you into town. A single fare is £1.60, a day ticket is £4. You can download the Lothian Buses app to your phone if you want to prepay for tickets...
