Quirky little cafe & restaurant with great food and decor (and just round the corner). All the furniture in the cafe is possible to buy, and they regularly sell York artists' work which is on display.

We got married here, so we’re a bit biased, but the cafe is excellent, especially if you can sit out on the lawn and admire the surrounding gardens. They also have a really tasty English ‘champagne’ called Nyetimber. (If you look at the artwork above the dining table it shows Gray’s Court garden where we got married - and the top of the Minster where we got engaged!)

York Theatre Royal has been producing great drama for over 270 years and is one of the country’s leading producing theatres. Each year the theatre entertains over 200,000 people with its wide variety of performances, events and activities including the much loved annual pantomime starring Berwick Kaler, the UK’s longest-running Dame. Recently had a £6million redevelopment - and the cafe is very good!
