Great food Booking is advised or be prepared to queue (The queue often goes outside)
No visit to York is complete without a trip to the world famous Bettys for afternoon tea.
A family favourite. Great for breakfast or book in the Belmont rooms for afternoon tea. Please note there are 2 Bettys - one down stonegate and one in st helens square. The St helens square serves pre-bookable afternoon tea.
The food and service is amazing. I would recommend going for breakfast or booking an afternoon tea to avoid queuing.
The famous Betty's tearooms is a must if you are visiting York. There are two cafes - one in St Helen's Square and a smaller one in Stonegate. Be prepared to queue but its worth the wait, even the locals go for special occasions!

“This iconic tower stands majestically on a hill in the middle of York, you must see it. ”

“Built well over 500 years ago, it’s one of the largest and most beautiful buildings to visit in all of Yorkshire. Now, heads up, you will need to pay a fee to enter, but you can save a pretty penny if you purchase a York Pass that allows entry to lots of the main sites in the city. It’s easily one of the best things to do in York and totally impressive. Also, if you’re looking for a little bit of a challenge, ask at the ticketing counter to climb the tower itself. Yup, it’s just under 300 steps but it’s well worth it for view all across the city. ”
