When you’re looking to unwind, take a woodland walk in the colourful Carlisle Park. With a playpark, riverboats and bowls as well as gorgeous scenery, the park has plenty to offer. We’d recommend checking out Turner Garden which celebrates the life of William Turner who was born in Morpeth. Druridge Bay is a living landscape, rich in wildlife and with big plans for the future. The bay is a stunning seven-mile stretch of sand running from Amble to Cresswell and is a popular place to ride, cycle walk, paddle, and surf. Today there is just the sound of the surf and seabirds, but the beach has a fascinating and varied past.

This pint-sized island holds pubs and cafés a-plenty, a coastal castle, and an ancient priory that is all waiting to be discovered. Always check safe crossing times before visiting Holy Island, as it becomes separated from the rest of the world and completely inaccessible twice a day.
