Food scene

Barrier Island Brewing is one of our favorite island spots. The food is amazing, the craft beer is fantastic and the staff and atmosphere are fabulous! It's casual and not far from the beach!

City/town information

A trip over to Jekyll Island is definitely worth it. Jekyll is a little more natural, with stunning views, including the famous Driftwood Beach, which has thousands of petrified trees lining the beach. The historic district, playground of early century millionaires, still maintains their summer cottages, along with shops and the fabulous Wharf Restaurant, where you get the best sunset views. Don't miss the Sea Turtle Center! The kids will love it!

Cars and bikes!

To get to most beaches, you need to take your car, but there is plenty of parking at the large beaches, East Beach and Massengale Park. To really see the island, rent bikes! There are bike paths all over the island and plenty of places to rent them.
