DELISH unique menu by a former executive chef on Sea Island. LOVE the Sweet n Sour Brussels Sprouts, Bacon Wrapped Dates (make you forget about your actual date!) & the Pub Burger - may be one of the best burgers on the island. Wonderful, relaxing setting with a huge fireplace and great bar-tenders! Barrier Island Brewing opened its doors in late October 2019. They offer a unique experience that celebrates craftsmanship and promotes local food, beverages, and artisans. They brew all their beer on site using the innovative SmartBrew system, which, partnered with Brian Watson (one of the most celebrated and respected BrewMasters on the planet) allows them to craft some seriously tasty beers. SmartBrew allows the experts to create a flawless high-gravity wort and, once on site, they can fine-tune the beer by adding the dry-hops, flavorings, and yeast to sate local taste. In addition to their craft beer selection, they have an extensive craft cocktail list, delicious beer cocktails, and even some wine options for non-beer drinkers. That's not even mentioning the food--everything goes good with beer!

Great outdoor and indoor atmosphere. Food and beer is usually very good! No reservations. Limited parking.

Love these people! Most friendly staff on the island! Great beer and food is superb! Outside under the tent or inside next to the fireplace... Easy walk from Wood Ave. townhouse...

I have been coming to the island for decades and only just discovered this AMAZING local eatery myself this year. Fun, laidback, great service, you can even eat outside and bring your dog depending on the weather. We had the best lunch and return that same week on Sunday for brunch (after 11 AM check online days/hours to be sure. I had their special "brunch scramble" egg and veggies skillet and it was a home run. (You might need to ask for it --- it was not on the menu). Enjoy a beer or wine flight and all the great eats. I'm getting hungry just typing about it. :)
