Rural Mountain Retreat - Find yourself in NatureOur home (a working farm) and The Cottages are nestled beneath Ireland's highest mountain, Corrán Tuathail. We are situated on the famous Kerry Way walking route and in the heart of the Reeks District. The collection of houses were some of the last in Ireland to be connected to the electricity grid (in 1978) due to their isolated location in one of Ireland’s most unspoiled valleys on the edge of the Killarney National Park.

The amount of work that was done to convert this place is just outstanding!
The Milking Parlour, Magherabaun is based in a beautiful rural setting, bordered by a stream and open fields but still close to the amenities of Feakle. Based on the East Clare Walk, there is plenty to explore in the area, from the Wild Atlantic Way, the Burren to Lough Derg and Lough Graney for water based activity enthusiasts. We can provide free range eggs from our small flock of chickens and you may see our cheeky Terrier x Rogan and Wisp, our resident cat.
A real retreat at Keadue cottage. A 1.5 km drive down a wooded laneway you'll arrive at a secluded spot. Tranquilty, calm, and privacy are on offer, unless you want to converse with the birds. There will be no distractions or compromise; so play that loud music if you wish, or bathe in the sound of the rustling trees. Located just a 5 min walk from Portacloy beach there's also a local shop a 5 min drive or 30 min walk in a nearby village. Also two pubs in the area one in Rossport and the other in Stonefield. There's a restaurant open during the week called Teach Grainne which is also a take away during the weekend. Nearest town of Belmullet is a 30 min drive.
