Lovell, WY and Big Horn Mountains: Medicine Wheel and the surrounding landscape constitute one of the most important and well preserved ancient Native American sacred site complexes in North America.
Still used today by the Native Americans as a ritual site, and you get to see some of the Big Horn Mountains.
This is a very sacred Native American site. It is a fascinating stop, but requires a long climb uphill on foot. If your able worth the climb.
A mile hike over a partially paved road brings to this ancient archeological site. Still used today by native Americans for religious ceremonies, the site is often covered in colorful medicine bags. Please observe a respectful demeanor when visiting. Free parking and Forest Service rest rooms.
