Об этом месте
Established in 2014. Tijuana Picnic is a Mexican restaurant on the Lower East Side from Jon Neidich, Jean-Marc Houmard, and Huy Chi Le, managing partners of Acme, and designer Robert McKinley. A menu of high quality ingredients with non-traditional flavor accents transforms casual Mexican fare into bold, balanced and surprising dishes of fine dining caliber. The owners sought to create a neighborhood restaurant for the Lower East Side, somewhere fun and sociable with food that is at once sophisticated and approachable. Chef Alex Lopez, formerly of Kittichai, leads the kitchen and influenced by his 16 years of experience cooking in acclaimed New York restaurants-riffs on flavors of his native Mexico City with non-traditional accents.

Рекомендации местных жителей

Лаунж
“Beautifully lit, white tile-lined space, great for a cocktail or glass of wine. Chic but not too sceney.”

“Ever since Hyman Moscot started selling specs from a pushcart on Orchard Street in 1899, this family-run institution has been the most recognizable name in New York eyewear. Now run by fourth-generation brothers, the three sleek shops sell well-known labels, as well as their own two collections: vintage-inspired Originals and Spirit, the more modern line ($225—$255).”

“This bar/lounge is both sexy and intimate, bolstered by it's seedy past as a former "massage" parlor that offered happy endings to its clients. As a nod to its past and cheeky namesake, you can lounge in the former shower rooms in the basement which, while keeping all the original tile, have been converted into a seating and bar area. ”
