Located more south up in the highlands is a place called Tagaytay. A bustling suburb with a cooler climate and a great view of the active Taal Volcano by the lake. Guinness Book of World Records described this place as "an island, within an island, within an island". The RIDGE is lined with restaurants, hotels, theme parks, picnic grove, golf courses and a casino. Access to this place is via a private car and requires a full day to fully explore the place. I personally recommend Bags of Bean Cafe, Breakfast at Antonio's, Mushroom Burger, Cafe Breton, RSM, Starbucks Coffee that gives the magnificent view of Taal Volcano. There are plenty of high end restaurants like Pamana, Josephines, Sonya's Garden, Highlands Steakhouse, Splendido Clubhouse.. seek Mr Google and Tripadvisor for more local gastronomy advise!
