Despite the fact that this is many locals’ favorite beach, it’s rarely crowded. The currents can be strong, which means it’s not always ideal for swimming (ask the lifeguard), but you can’t beat the scenery: it’s set in a cove-like bay against a mountain of black lava rock crowned by a lighthouse. (Bring your camera!)
Great Body Surfing Beach, dolphin, whales and turtles. A Healing Heiau (Hawaiian Temple) and healing pools
an amazing beach, right next to seal life park. if your'e on a bus try not to be there after dark. it can be dangerous and the buses in that area not too reliable.
This beach is ideal for little ones especially when the tide is low. They can explore Todepiols that are shallow and have fish and crabs all over the rocks which make it extra fun. There is also great surfing for the adults and sometimes you’ll even see a Monk Seal beach here! We recommend going closer to the pier rather than the lighthouse for the best experience and shallow water.
