A historic must-see! Speaks for itself and something every Outer Banks visitor should experience.
Where the first ever powered flight took place. One of the witnesses, of that flight has likely been inside of the cottage, he is the Great grandfather of the cottage owner.
Park at the airport just to go for walks, or explore the entire park by paying admission.
A historic sight and special to have right down the road here at Post Flight

“Love their beer! Food is delicious as well. They even have a playground for kids outside in their back yard. They have a great night scene as well. ”

“This is the first of three lighthouses that you can see in the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Built in 1872, this lighthouse is close enough to visit if you are short on time. Bodie Island, (pronounced Body), is just before the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center and no longer an island. The current structure, which was completed in 1872, is one of only a handful of brick tower lighthouses that remain in operation in the United States. Just one of the attractions on the way to Cape Hatteras, Bodie Island is a spectacular lighthouse that is definitely worth the time to stop and enjoy.”
