People don’t realize the amazing and huge parks carved out all over NYC. Prospect park is one of the biggest and just up the street. There is a restaurant, botanical garden and lots of walking or biking paths to enjoy. There is even horse back riding available.
Take a walk through the meadows and paths, enjoy the lakeside or visit the food stalls on sundays

This is considered “The Central Park of Brooklyn” by locals. This large park has expansive walking and biking trails along fields, woods, and a lake. This is a great place to enjoy a picnic and, in the summer, they have many free evening events like live music and movies on the lawn.
The lovely Prospect Park is a 10-15 minute walk from us and really gives a glimpse of Brooklyn life. Turn left on Ft. Hamilton and walk straight- you’ll run smack into the park.
