Anglers, bird watchers, oh... just about everyone loves this pristine preserve. Silver Creek offers some word class fishing for Rainbow and Brown Trout, some of the wisest fish that swim in the rivers. Patience and sometime 7x tippet is the only way to land the big 'uns. Easy walking trails can lead you through the preserve where you will also see a variety of water fowl and moose have been spotted from time to time. The extraordinary wild flowers will also delight you. Papa Hemingway and his son Jack were very involved in the getting this beautiful area set aside and it is now run by the Nature Conservancy. You can still see Hemingway's old duck blind on the bank. Be sure to sign in at the visitors center first, it is required but well worth it, you can learn about the importance of the preserve and its history. The volunteers are happy to give you the wildlife sightings report for the day, too.

World class fly fishing! Excellent place to bird watch, easy walks and wildlife viewing. You may see a moose! They like to hang out here. This is about a 20 minute drive from Bellevue. Not to miss if you're into birds, fish or wildlife.

World famous fly fishing destination. Silver Creek is a spring creek, home of giant trout and prolific bug hatch. Good for bird watching, hiking, and canoeing as well. It is free but sign in required.

Enjoy while bird watching, fishing or picnicking while surrounded by amzing lovely nature. It's well worth a short drive from Picabo Angler (good stop for lunch and to shop) to the Point of Rocks for fly fishing or just to sat next to the lovely creek. You will be treated to most lovely view of the meandering Silver Creek before reaching the Point of Rocks. I must have hundreds of photos of this magical spot!
