Risnjak National Park is a national park in Croatia. It is located in Gorski kotar, the most mountainous and heavily forested region of the country, about 15 km inland from the Adriatic Sea. You can take a walk or run bicycle through middle hard pathway or if you are in good shape try to climb the peak by taking demanding pathway that leads you all the way to the top.

Risnjak is a Croatian national park, less then an hour drive from Rijeka. If you decide to go, be sure to pack some warm clothes, because this mountain ridge is high and it can get pretty cold on higher altitudes. There are some big old trees in that forest, with lots of pines and leafy trees as well. There are several routes to the top. Find the one most appropriate for your level of hiking power. The climb is min 1 hour - 4 hours, depending on the route. Google a bit, or call the phone listed on this page, and be sure to reserve some beds, if you plan on spending the night, and go :D

Risnjak is located in Gorski Kotar and as of 1953 it became one of the many National parks in Croatia. The park is home to mammals such as the brown bear, deer, boars, wolfs and many more. The most important animal is the lynx (cro. ris), after which Risnjak got its name. The Risnjak National Park is popular with cyclists and mountain bikers, and it is even possible to hire bikes and helmets in the park. The Mount Risnjak is perfect for all adventurers, young or old!
