Market Square has seen an explosion in shops and restaurants in the last few years. Tons of great shops and restaurants right off of the square and nearby. Head down to Gay Street for the iconic Tennessee Theatre sign and more great restaurants and shops.

“Quirky, fun arts and entertainment district with great restaurants and nightlife. Populated exclusively with locally-owned businesses, and some of the oldest historic buildings in Knoxville. While typically a safe and friendly neighborhood, do remember that this is an urban center, and be aware of your surroundings, especially at night.”
