If you are travelling with children and have a car. We love to take a visit to Rio safari which in recent years has added a small water park area. There are normally discounts to be found in peak season or check out their website

This zoo is located in a beautiful palm tree field in a Mediterranean area and is home to hundreds of amazing animals from all corners of the world. Fancy exploring the wonders of nature and its creatures? You may also take the expeditionary train, which winds into the inside of the enclosures and discover even more. Also enjoy close encounters with some of the animals, like the lemurs or the sea lions. At Rio Safari Elche find picnic areas, as well as restaurant service and in the summer the Water Park is open to visitors for an added cost, payable on the day.
