The history buff probably already knows this is year but if you appreciate old architecture, old military, really anything having to do with history at all, head down to the fort and take a tour. We live in Youngstown and went there for the first time in years and it just gets more interesting. We're so lucky to have this gem right in our backyard!

Definitely worth a trip, about 10 min away. LOTS of history in this beautiful fort. And depending when you visit, there are tours, haunted tours, etc. Great for all ages!

Historic fort from the revolutionary war times and the war of 1812. Worth a visit. Right on the mouth of the Niagara River and Lake Ontario.
