The oldest church in Wales. A lovely walk from Cemaes beach along the Coastal Path and past Porth Padrig. From the car park at the far end of Cemaes Beach continue for a few metres up the road and turn left on to the coastal path and up on to the headland. A few sections of the coastal path go quite close to the cliff edges so please supervise children.

Not far from the secluded sandy cove of Porth Padrig Beach (White Lady Bay) - which in turn is near the village of Llanbadrig on Anglesey’s north coast - this cliff-top church is really pretty and well-worth a visit; especially if you throw in this area’s section of the Coastal Path! The nearby beach (OS grid ref. SH 3758 9440) is a just short walk away. The “White Lady” is named after after Ladi Wen, a ghost from Celtic mythology. The beach & church, however, are named after St Patrick - as it’s said the saint took shelter in a cave nearby after being shipwrecked. Look out for the man-made cave on the beach too; an old mine adit that was dug into the cliffs to prospect for iron ore.

St Patrick's Church - religious sites on this spot date back to the 4th century! Beautiful old church with a charming story to match of how it began
