From the green and red neon sign out front to the black and white tile floor, this modern deli has so much old school New York appeal. They carry an impressive selection of savory smoked fish and caviar, plus the sweet, cinnamon babka they make in-house is amazing. It’s crowded at peak hours, but I just take a number and scan the counters. They have a sweet and sour, quick-pickled cabbage salad that’s not behind the counter, but prepackaged in their refrigerated section that I sometimes dream about.

This place is awesome for smoked salmon, cream cheese, and bagels. You have to take a ticket when you get in and there are about 10 ppl behind the counter taking your orders. A New York must.
New York is famous for bagels. This place is historic and a must try for bagels and it’s wide assortment of toppings and smoked fish.
From a legendary appetizing shop comes this retro, full-service outpost serving Jewish comfort food.

“Venerable NYC bakery/deli dispensing knishes, kugel & other Jewish comfort-food classics since 1910. This is the Jewish street food snacks! Amazing knishes and the latkes came out hot and sizzling straight from the oil (not reheated in an oven to lukewarm). A crazy variety of the classics - potato, kasha, mushroom, spinach, cabbage, sweet potato or the garlic and onion. They also have sweet cheese variety’s with apple, cherry, blueberry or chocolate.”
