Located in Hilo, this is approximately a 25 minute drive from the guesthouse. Easy to access and view. Can climb stairs to the top but not required to enjoy seeing the waterfalls. Plan for 15 - 45 minutes here.

Located in Hilo, the Rainbow Falls are easily accessible. You can also see the falls from very close. The biggest selling point of this waterfall is that many rainbows are visible on sunny early morning.

“Take a pleasant self-guided walk through lush tropical vegetation to scenic vista points overlooking the cascading Kahuna Falls and the free-falling Akaka Falls, which plunges 442 feet. Stop to pet the goats on the way there at Honomu Goat Dairy.”

Surf Spot
“This beach is great for its protected cove and sandy bottom. Often called Keiki beach because its the perfect place to let kids play, yet it is still a great place for adults to enjoy.”
