Considered the second most important museum of Pablo Picasso ceramics in the world - an incredible feat for this humble pueblo. The museum has a focus on Picasso, and also includes other changing exhibits of leading Spanish artists.

A Mijas treasure. It is said that the CAC Mijas Pueblo has the second largest Picasso collection, after the Picasso Museum in Malaga. There are 130 works of art belonging to the famous artist, most of them being sculptures, ceramics and prints. Other famous artists who’s works you can see at the CAC Mijas are Salvador Dali, George Braque and Tsuguharu Foujita.

AC Mijas is in the heart of the historic part of MijasMalaga. On the 29th of November 2013, the Contemporary Art Centre Mijas opened with the exhibition: “Picasso, friends and contemporary figures”. The CAC Mijas has works of art by Picasso, Dalí, Georges Braque, Tsugouharu Foujita and other important artists who influenced the life and work of the artist from Malaga. The CAC Mijas has the second largest collection of ceramics in the world by Pablo Ruiz Picasso, part of the museum's permanent exhibition.

El Centro de Arte Contemporáneo está ubicado en un edificio formado por dos casas del siglo XIX rehabilitadas y cedidas por el Excmo. Ayuntamiento de Mijas para este fin, apostando por una exposición permanente de 43 obras de cerámica de Picasso, ubicadas en la sala I.
