Empire Cinema is a good place to go if you want to catch a basic 2D or 3D movie. The prices are the cheapest I'm aware of in the area and even cheaper again on Tuesdays with tickets only £4 each. If you park in the adjoining Sunniside Multistory car park, parking is free when you visit the cinema or any of the other establishments surrounding the car park including the bowling alley and restaurants. Just remember to get your ticket validated before you leave whichever place you are visiting.
