Beautiful lake, dog and child friendly, great for walking, cycling, kayaking, paddleboarding, pop to the cafe or hotel for drinks, snacks or a meal, or treat yourself to a relaxing spa day at the hotel, the perfect way to unwind!
Definitely worth a visit.. you can hire a bike to cycle the 11 miles around the lake
This really is a stunning spot to eat or just have a coffee overlooking the lake.
Great food in a unique setting overlooking Lake Vyrnwy. Worth a visit just to get a look at the view.

“The Berwyn Mountains provide some fantastic walking in the local area. You could walk to the top of Cadair Berwyn, Cadair Bronwen or Moel Sych. There is a lovely walk from the waterfall in Llanrhaeadr that goes round Llyn Lluncaws and up to the top of Moel Sych, it's a challenging/lengthy route but well worth the effort. I would not recommend it for small children.”

“Llynmynech Iron Works is interesting to walk around with paths up to the quarry and along the Montgomery canal. It includes the remains of a very large chimney and Hoffman Kiln (one of only three remaining in the country) Boat rides along the Montgomery Canal are available on some weekends. ”
