At 52 Broadway Matamata, everyone local knows "Syd and his funky Cafe and bar". Its eccentric like Syd and you will love it!!! Old transistor radios dangle from the ceiling, and if that doesnt tickle your fancy , theres a wall full of art deco mirrors to spot yourself in. Listen to Johnny Cash on stereo and sit back and enjoy this iconic restaurant setting open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Whats neat is its anytime for wine and coffee offer !!! Guests have been trying his T-Bone and port venison dish with date sauce. Dewi loved the slow roasted pork belly with hints of cardomom and five spice - its the crispy crackling - not bad for $32 NZ. Go Syd!!!
