Absolutely breathtaking! (Even though it is under construction). Plan to spend 4-6 hours making it to the top. A shuttle will take you to the top weather permitting. Best to go first thing in the morning when there is less tourist traffic.
The drive up this mountain and back down usually takes the majority of a half day, especially if you stop for some famous hot doughnuts. If you are from a much lower elevation I would strongly recomend putting this towards the end of your stay as most tend to struggle aout 8k elevation.
See the town from fourteen thousand feet! A windy & beautiful view of Colorado Springs from atop "America's Mountain".
30 min. away from world famous Pikes Peak and historical Hill Climb. Drive up to the top or take the newly constructed Cog railway and see of view you'll never forget. Have one of their famous donuts in the new Summit house. Make sure to leave before noon however as it takes about 45 min. to reach…

“One of our favorite photo shoot locations for couples and families! Explore Colorado Springs' paradise in one magical stop. Garden of the Gods Park is a registered National Natural Landmark. Imagine dramatic views, 300' towering sandstone rock formations against a backdrop of snow-capped Pikes Peak and brilliant blue skies. This world-class Visitor & Nature Center and museum is the most visited attraction in the region with all new interactive exhibits. Learn how the amazing red rocks got there with the NEW Geo-Trekker theater experience, shown every 20 minutes. Delight in one of Colorado's most photographed views while eating in our glass-enclosed café or from our terrace overlooking Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. Where else can you eat inside a postcard?”
