Following a decade of construction, the National Congress opened in 1906. It was built in a Greco-Roman style and displays similarities to well-known edifices from around the world. Standing at the main steps you will observe its likeness to Washington’s U.S. Capitol.
Identical to the Congress house of Berlin, but much bigger. Magnificent architecture.

“Casa Rosada (Pink House) the President seat here during government operations, is next to the Plaza de Mayo where you can also see the Cabildo an many other historical city attractions. Take the subway in Callao (Line D) to Catedral Station (is a short ride), or you can walk there (25min - 2.3km).”

“This is a very interesting shopping mall. Modeled after the great Italian arcade Gallerias Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan, the building was commissioned exclusively for Le Bon Marche. It was originally constructed in the 1890’s as the Buenos Aires headquarters for the Parisian department store. The mall is inside a lovely Beaux Arts building in downtown Buenos Aires.”

“Walk or bike across the famous bridge and along the waterways with historic brick buildings. On weekends the area is packed with Portenos out for a walk and dining. There are many restaurants to enjoy. The Reserva Ecologica is accessible from the northern end.”
