I recommend this place because it was one of the first coffee shops in the area and because of the great courtyard across the street where you can enjoy your beverage in the fresh air. The vibe here can be a bit stand offish to outsiders. I don't think it's intentional but I wouldn't come here to get a taste of the Pittsburgh friendliness.

A great little coffee shop in the Mexican War Streets. Get a coffee and opt for a local Leona's Ice Cream Sammie! Lactose free and absolutely delicious! Variety of flavors available.

If you like your espresso pulled to perfection, this is your spot! Excellent coffee and local baked goods in a cozy environment. Enjoy outdoor seating and a garden area across the street in nicer weather. Bonus: They have local ice cream sandwiches. DELISH!
